SOLABS is seeking a dynamic and passionate System Administrator.
Support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems
Maintain system efficiency
Troubleshoot problems reported by users
Make recommendations for future upgrades
Maintain network and system security
Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
Evaluate and modify system’s performance
Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
Perform network address assignment
Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
Maintain network facilities on individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, and FTP servers
Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
Troubleshoot problems related to our SOLABS QM software
Perform Level 1 and 2 support in a regulated environment
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in CIS, MIS, IS, Computer Science
4 to 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure
Hands-on technical, analytical, interpersonal skills required
Working knowledge of PM methodologies and understanding of ITIL and ITSM framework
IT certifications a plus
Hands-on experience with Wired and Wireless networking, PC & Server Support, VMs, virus protection, backup systems, Windows Servers, Lotus Notes, LAN and WAN, VOIP, VMware, Citrix Xen Server, Citrix NetScaler, Fortinet Fortigate and Brocade switches and various other software applications
Hands-on experience with networking TCP/IP, routers, switches, systems and servers such as DHCP, DNS and understanding of system and network security
Well-versed in Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 administration tasks, such as installation, configuration, management, lock down, security, patching and updating
Experience with Active Directory (Domain trust, site and services, group policy)
Ability to work well with others, as well as independently. Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion
Experience in maintaining a hosted environment
